Our relevant equipment | tools | infrastructure
for offshore wind:
Field campaigns: vertical profile lidar at Westhinder, scanning lidar in collab with KUL-VUB, disdrometer, USA (ultra sonic anemometer);
Largest low speed subsonic windtunnel L1 at VKI, including extensive sensing equipment (ao PIV), test turbine (80 cm diameter Twist-080, and a new large scale hexapod), ao.
Other windtunnels include the Windgallery (combining wind and waves at small scale) and the icing wind tunnel.
