Our offshore wind expertise (general)
Wind forecasting
Optimal scheduling
In terms of wind research, we also focus on (1) benchmarking existing TSO forecasts on hour-, day- and week-ahead time scales; (2) analyzing the role of upstream weather data on forecast accuracy of wind power generation; and (3) creating hierarchically coherent models for better forecasting.

Our group was/is involved in these key offshore wind projects:
FWO post-doc mandate on foundational models for renewable energy forecasting;
FWO PhD mandate on renewable energy forecasting (wind and solar PV) using machine learning algorithms;
AI4GreenDeal, Digital-Europe project on using AI for accelerating the green deal, including uptake of renewables.
