Hyacint project aims to reduce curtailment
At the end of last year, WaterstofNet launched the Hyacint project , which stands for Hydrogen to Avoid Curtailment in Turbine Farms . The study project receives support from the Energy Transition Fund (ETF) of the FPS Economy and will run for two years. During the kick-off meeting, WaterstofNet welcomed project partners Sirris and Vrije Universiteit Brussel at the Open Manufacturing Campus to exchange their initial expertise. The study project investigates how curtailment —

BLEEPID Workshop 21/05/2026 | Leading Edge Erosion (LEE) in offshore wind
Gain insight into how Leading Edge Erosion (LEE) affects offshore wind energy production, maintenance decisions and lifetime cost, supported by computational image analysis, controlled lab experiments and advanced multi-physics modelling. Working on LEE-solutions Rain and droplet impact cause wear on the leading edge of offshore wind turbine blades. This erosion increases maintenance costs and reduces annual energy production. During this workshop, you will gain a clear pictu
