One of the goals of OWI-Lab is to set up new collaborative projects wich lead to more efficient and reliable offshore wind energy production, and therefore a lower LCOE (levelized cost of energy).

We initiate and support 'shared R&D projects', technological developments with industrial and academic partners in the field of offshore wind energy. Industrial challenges, or long term research that cannot be tackeled alone are translated into 'joint research projects'. We bring added value by setting up new projects, finding the right partners, looking for funding and acting as a platform to initiate local and European research projects together with industry and universities (SBO, O&O, FP7,…).
